DAY 1: LONDON FASHION WEEK

March 1, 2017

WELCOME TO MY MINI SERIES OF DAILY REPORTS ON FASHION WEEK, ANGELS!

London Fashion Week is one of, if not, the biggest fashion event in the world. I have been lucky enough to attend two seasons in a row. Last season, I attended as an intern, backstage, working essentially. It was an AMAZING experience but not a patch on being able to sit and enjoy the shows as a blogger this time round. It still feels surreal I ever got invited.

Photographing and blogging about the shows is not the only thing I took out of this insane experience; as a fashion student- I was inundated with a plethora of primary inspiration right before my eyes and am forever grateful for the opportunity to bask in such a wonderful atmosphere.

Throughout fashion week, I attended multiple shows, events and lounges. Here is a summary of my first day…

THURSDAY

On Thursday, I travelled down to London from my northern home town and arrived into Euston early evening. I took the tube and went to get ready for the most exciting event ever in the HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT, yah, how posh does that sound…

My outfit of choice was my Black Velvet Wrap Dress from the one and only Pretty Little Thing- I still can’t believe I bagged this beauty in the sale. I paired it with my River Island Gold Heels and Gold Choker. I, of course, did my own makeup. Creating a warm smokey eye with my Morphe 350M palette. Trademark orange/red eye. What else could be expected?! PS. How amazing is this view?

The event was hosted by London Ethnic– a fashion house providing a platform for a wide range of upcoming and distinguished UK fashion designers to help from the initial stages from pattern cutting and sample making through to promoting their designs and ultimately having them showcased, produced and sold. Their collections reflect the diversity and vibrancy of London’s soul – from the classic tailoring of Saville Row to the edgy Shoreditch street-style. All whilst upholding a high ethical standard. The whole process is completed in the heart of London.

Here’s some of my favourite pieces from the show…

I had a (very well needed) glass of wine (or 3), enjoyed some amazing collections and met some very lovely people. Thank you so much to the London Ethnic team for inviting me to such a wonderful event.

London Ethnic Designers & Showcase Reception

pic 1

Coming back to London was amazing.
But coming back for London Fashion Week (with my boyfriend moreover) was even better.

In this post I will talk you about the first event to which I was invited: the London Ethnic Designers Showcase & Reception which was held…. Guess where? In the Westminster Palace at the House of Parliament.

First of all, London Ethnic is  a fashion house that works with designers who manufacture their collections within the UK and are driven by ethical and sustainable production principles.

This event showed the latest collection of some UK based Fashion Designers.
In the pictures we can see some pieces of the collections by (from top to bottom):

Diaso London, Karen Gold and Polosophia

The first collection showed the sexy side of the woman with clothes in neutral colors, with transparency and embroidery that covered the body. I would definitely wore them! (by Diaso London)

The second one, instead, showed the casual woman with comfortable brightly colored clothes definitely suitable for people who like to be noticed! (by Karen Gold)

Last but not least, the third collection is the one I prefer most, the one that was more similar to my style. The things that impressed me were the colors of the clothes, socks instead of shoes, the petals  applied on the eyebrows’ models. A collection that gave me emotions like freedom and simplicity. (by Polosophia)

I thank London Ethnic so much for inviting me. I felt so honored to be in the one of the mot important place of England to attend one of the most beautiful event of London Fashion Week.

I hope to be invited again one day.

Enjoy the pictures!
